The Banqiao notes writen by Yu Huai as a description of late Ming Dynasty "a generation of ups and downs, Chiaki feeling" of traditional Chinese miscellanea sketch since it published were very popular with readers.Three hundred years ago to today, educational circles still interested in the Banqiao notes and Yu Huai.At present, the quantity of articles about it still rising every year, and the academic version of the Banqiao notes to collect and collate work also continue to follow up.But for the understanding and interpretation the Banqiao notes contains ideological value and rich cultural meaning still has large space, especially, systematic research is relatively lack.The through the perspective of cultural studies, the Banqiao notes research is placed in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty of cultural history and social history background reflection, preliminary analysis on Yu Huai’s life and the Banqiao notes ideological purport and theme, and the issues involved in the book of the tasting brothel, literary and artistic values and ideological significance conducts a preliminary study, show the Banqiao notes unique and rich literature, history and social connotation, in order to academia further on the book and initiate.
