Applying the film to language teaching method belongs to audio_visual pedagogy.In China, the audio-visual teaching method was introduced to the Chinese international education from the beginning of the1980s. Professor Li Shiqing used the audiovisual materials in the film language teaching in East China Normal University in2004. On the basis of many years of practice,he wrote a audiovisual book called watching movies, say Chinese for the senior level Chinese learners.This book is the first one in this area.Nearly the three decades,more and more films have been introduced to the practice of Chinese international education. Audio-visual teaching materials about teaching of Chinese as a foreign language based on the resources of films and television productions and papers regarding the introduction of the film to the Chinese international education are more and more excessive. Through a lot of reading and thinking, I found that the researchers mainly pay attention to the entirety of teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,and they did not make sure of the specific teaching classes about the application of Chinese films. They rarely explored for specific implementation measures. Although some scholars proposed simple teaching methods, but it was lack of specific instructional design, lesson plans, teaching steps and so on. Systematic,integral papers and documents studying of the film appreciation are really very rare.There were almost no papers studying of the film appreciation in the area of teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.Secondly, I had an nine-month internship of teaching Chinese language in Thailand. During the internship,i founded the film appreciation course which took200minutes a week. I have accumulated a lot of first-hand experiences and teaching methods. I am very happy to share these to the vast Chinese international educators.Based on the above two points, I designed this paper. This paper is divided into four parts, the first part is an introduction and it mainly introduces the research origin, domestic and international research reviews and research methods. The second part is the study of the theory and it introduces the theoretical basis of this paper from four perspectives. The third part is the instructional design and the teaching example.In order to introduce my designs in details,i select the movie "great master".The fourth part is the teaching effects and reflections, pointing out my advantages and disadvantages, choosing the good from it, the poor and change it. Finally, the conclusion, summarize the full text.
