An Analysis And Research On The Present Situation Of The Dissemination Of Folk Music In Music Periodicals

Chinese folk music was created and passed down from generation to generation and is outstanding music culture. Moreover, it is also an important part of the precious culture of the Chinese nation. No matter on style and format or on tune and form, it is all rich and colorful:creation of music, exposition of theory and experience of performing arts are all with profound cultural connotation. Music magazine, as the traditional paper media, plays a key role in spreading folk music, promoting music information and general music knowledge. It has been a habit for people to get information. Highlights Of Songs In The Air as the first magazine, which promotes folk music by the way of field work and then writes articles according to primary data. Both of magazine’s content and the aim have important research value. This dissertation includes introduction and body part.The introduction is to introduce the background、topic basis、methods and necessity of this study. The body part is made up of three chapters. The first chapter is to introduce music magazine. It has defined conception of music magazine、tease apart development of music magazine in China and then classify into three categories according to features:academic、popularity and technological, and provides examples to explain. Moreover, this part will also introduce the influence of cultural environment to music magazine, especially to the music magazine which emphases on communication of folk music.The second chapter is to introduce the content and column setup of Highlights Of Songs In The Air, which analyzes five columns:"Chat With A Musician""Primary Folk Songs""Original Lyrics And Songs""Music Museum""Music Forum"by detail data while teasing apart 60 editions of Highlights Of Songs In The Air from five aspects of "track""visual field""scope""recent developments""practice".The third chapter is to introduce current situation of folk music especially the difficulty to heritage and how to develop music magazine in this media society. It includes the problems of music cultural heritage, how to inherit by inheritor and music magazines, and how to use the feature of media to promote folk music.
