The second empire is the period of relative political stability in the french, at that time the french especially pairs got fast and comprehensive development. So the pairs become the modern city as we know. From 1848 to 1871 pairs has experienced a starling transformation. This is what is know as ‘ big transformation in pairs ’. The mayor of pairs baron Haussmann hold this transformation and built the appearance of pairs. Now the boulevard that is his typical design become the symbol of pairs. Furthermore, in this time the highly financial sector and the mass consumer culture had appeared. This dreaming of modern city and modern way of life has appeal to impressionists deeply, so the middle‐class’ s modern way of life and the culture environment become the theme of their paints. They use the theme of excursion、picnic、singing and dancing to reveal the middle‐class leisure life in pairs.In the meantime behind this phenomenon has hidden the change of production relations bring the change of class and the change of life‐style. This article use the analysis of the impressionist entertainment life’s work to discuss the middle‐class in pairs and the change of their life‐style.
