In recent years,the city square dance overwhelmingly swept China.The disputes on fighting for the leisure space and leisure rights between the square dance participants and nearby residents are escalating.It is particularly important to resolve these contradictions and find a way out.The leisure urgency and intolerance of square dance participants reveals the conflicts between dancers and non-dancers,which not only embodies the awakening of people's leisure consciousness and demand,also reflects the realization of the whole country people's leisure need is still a long and difficult road.This paper attempts to discuss the launch of middle aged and senior citizens leisure projects,the popularization of the whole people's leisure awareness,the development of leisure education,scientific planning and construction of urban leisure space,the issue of government leisure policies,the establishment of local leisure administration and the industrialization of senior citizen's leisure business through analysis of square dance subject from the perspective of leisure science.The research not only can compensate the lack of domestic senior citizens' leisure research,but also can figure out the plight and the way out of the square dance from the perspective of leisure study.It plays a positive role on the construction of Leisure City,harmonious society,and finally prepare for the arrival of the national leisure era.
