As the most influential artist of the time between Ming and Qing dynasty,Fushan and his splendid achievements in the art field have always driven many scholars’ attention. Nevertheless, comparing with the ripe study into his calligraphy, there has not been any clear or thorough system of study into his landscape paintings. Therefore, as the author of this essay, myself, would like to slightly get into this field and to do some efforts. In my study, I classified Fushan’s landscape paintings, according to the different forms of them as he changed the ways to paint when he face different bases and papers, into three kinds : scrolls, albums, and fans, so as to investigate his landscape paintings from more aspects. Then compare the differences among the three, with the analyzing of the spirit world of Fushan in different context, and finally come into a conclusion that the sheets of landscape paintings, so called the albums, is the one kind which could represent Fushan’s painting style best of all. What’s more, based on the conclusion above, I go on studying into his works, discussing and describing some typical style, such as the Enjoyable form based on the realistically drawings, the calligraphilizing brush painting, and the peculiar appearance with the literati spirit. Finally, combining the times and history of Fushan’ life time, I would find out the answer to the questions :why Fu’s paintings were composed in that way, and from whom he studied and inherited the styles.
