1642, Rembrandt was experiencing his golden age in Amsterdam. He received a unusual order from businessmen in a fabric company’s who was ask him to paint a group portrait named " Night Watch". However, this is a controversial work, to future generations, he is a masterpiece with remarkable honors that attract many art historians and artists research it as a model. But to Rembrandt himself, it is the beginning of his miserable life, due to the paintings didn’t satisfied the employers, they refuse to pay money, Rembrandt lost many sponsor, what’s worse, the young famous Rembrandt began to lose his status, gone from bad to worse, finally ended his life in the form of tragedy. This essay are based on the "Night Watch", to explore the mysterious of Rembrandt’ painting in different way, as the character layout, model clothing and dressing, light setting, and his colour.
