Since the foundation of early prajnaparamita sutra, Buddhism developed into the mahayana phase. And then Prajna thought became the theoretical foundation of Mahayana Buddhism, serving as the main branch of Mahayana Buddhism, and have an enormous impact on the foundation of all kinds of classic and thought of Mahayana Buddhism. In the early times of Mahayana Buddhism, after the understanding and interpretation of Nagarjuna, the thought of Madhyamaka which based on Prajna thought widely spread in the world. Later, Buddhist thinkers in India follow the route of Nagarjuna and developed their own Prajna thought from their own aspect of understanding. After Mahayana Buddhism developed into middle term, with the flourish of large amounts of new Mahayana classic, Tathagatagarbha thought and Yoga ideology became increasing prosperous while Nagarjuna’s thought declined rapidly. Until Buddhapalita and Bhavaviveka revive Madhyamaka, the three main thought became the pillars at that time, while Prajna thought kept developing with the three main thoughts. In the late time of Mahayana Buddhism, the three thoughts went through confrontations and merge while developing at the same time, and Madhyamaka founded on Prajna thought developed into Yoga school concept. Although Yoga school concept eventually returned prajnaparamita, the prajnaparamita was quite different from that in the early prajnaparamita sutra. Also, in the late time of Mahayana Buddhism, Tantra is also gradually on the rise. With Tantra and Mahayana Buddhism active at that time, Prajna thought was influenced by them both. In the mean time, other prajnaparamita sutras came into being. The Prajna thought in these sutras encountered the confrontation and merge of the three main thoughts, and also adjusted itself positively and passively in order to adapt the coming of the last stage of Buddhism-Tantra. This is the internal logic of the change of the late Prajna thought.Therefore, the thought in the late founder prajnaparamita sutra in the late time of Mahayana Buddhism was quite different from the original Prajna thought. The most distinct change was that it emphasized on purity and equality, weakened the importance of emptiness, even replaced emptiness with purity and equality, and highlighted the Great Happiness thought. It is proven that in the late Ideology of Tantra, these characteristics of late Prajna thought all got noticed, and the Great Happiness thought even become the direct source of Yoga Tantra Great Happiness thought.
