This paper discusses and states the phonetics, vocabulary, discourse teaching of zero-based junior listening teaching on the basis of its characteristics and tasks. The first chapter discusses the characteristics and tasks of zero-based junior listening teaching. As one of the stages of listening task in Chinese-teaching as a foreign language, the junior listening teaching is similar with other stages of listening teaching, but meanwhile it also has its uniqueness. First, zero-based junior listening teaching is more dependent on the current dominant courses. Second, its learners are more dependent on teachers and teaching materials. In addition, in zero-based junior listening teaching, the teaching object is complicated and teaching difficulty is inaccessible. The second chapter mainly discusses keynotes and difficulties of phonetics and teaching methods in the zero-based junior listening teaching. Zero-based phonetic teaching is the first and the most important phase in the primary level for beginners to study Chinese. The voice of phonetic study is echoed throughout the whole process of Chinese learning. The third chapter mainly discusses the emphasis and difficulties in vocabulary part in the zero-based junior listening teaching. For beginners it is also an important part but the difference of vocabulary in both listening course and intensive reading must be highlighted. The fourth chapter mainly discusses the emphasis and difficulties in discourse teaching in the zero-based junior listening teaching. For beginners, zero-based discourse teaching is a sign to enter the learning phase of dialogues and short essays, where methods applied in different practice are also different. So it requires flexible ways to master to improve listening competence of zero-based junior students. In addition, according to the characteristics of the zero-based junior students, the fifth chapter shows some examples for the teaching design to strengthen the practice of listening teaching in future.
