Ding Ling To Yan'an

As a female writer of the first arrived in Yan’an, DingLing was experiencing turbulent times be raging like a storm in Yan’an.Yan’an became a period of unforgettable years in DingLing’s writing career. DingLing’s style in Yan’an changed from "In the hospital","When I was in Xia Village","Night" to "Tian baolin","Li Bu the folk artists",which is very interesting. DingLing’s complexity of writing style in Yan’an reflects inner struggle of Yan’an intellectuals,which will have a great influence on the development of Modern Chinese Literature. This paper selects DingLing’s period of Yan’an as a starting point. The purpose of this article is not divided the creation of Ding Ling into two periods,which based on The Rectification Movement.This paper attempts to make a connection which based on the complex state of her creative works in Yan’an.The introduction part of the paper mainly expounds the important position of Ding Ling in Chinese modern and contemporary literature. The introduction part reviews the research of Ding Ling according to the time order. This part explains the reason and meaning of choosing this topic.This paper is divided into three chapters. The first chapter made a discuss on the causes of DingLing to Yan’an. This paper intends to avoid the influence of external factors of the political. The reasons are from the life of Ding Ling and the crisis in the creation of Ding Ling. Life experience includes families, education, social customs, geographical factors and marriage. The reason explains that Ding Ling was not a born writer. Literature is an outlet for her pain. The creation of Ding Ling has some problems. Ding Ling decided to go to Yan’an in the two factors.The second chapter focuses on the complexity of DingLing’s creation in Yan’an. The analysis of the works is to illustrate the exist of complexity.The style of Ding Ling’s is of continuity. Therefore, the works of Ding Ling can not be simply evaluated.The third chapter summarizes the characteristics from the whole of Ding Ling’s Ding works. This part shows two characteristics of DingLing’s creation. The creations first feature is the discourse which changes from the enlightenment discourse to the revolutionary discourse. Ding Ling is a sensitive and mature women writers. But Ding Ling gave up the position of women in the period of Yan’an. This is the second feature. These two features reflected the choice of a generation of intellectuals in Yan’an. The lack of subjectivity which caused by the choice have a profound influence on the Chinese Modern and Contemporary Literature.The conclusion reiterates the view of this paper and emphasise the relationship between intellectuals of Yan’an and Chinese Modern and Contemporary Literature.
