There had been 200-year history from the inward immigration of Dangxiang of the early Tang Dynasty to regime’s establishment of XiazhouTuoba of The late Tang Dynasty. In this period, battles and harmony coexisted between Dangxiang and Tang Dynasty, and their relationship turned into subtle due to the prosperity of Tibet. Besides,Dangxiang was actively accepted, and most of heads of Dangxiang were subject to Tang Dynasty during these years. This is becausethe idea of’Yi Xia Yi Jia’ strongly diluted the ethnic idea of ’no the same thought without the same ethnicity’. Dangxiangqiang vigorously developed towards east and affiliated to Tang Dynasty in the early phase. It not only indicated that Dangxiangqiang looked forward to civilization of Central Plain, but also showed the cohesion and centripetal force of China. Moreover, it laid the strong foundation for large-scale immigrationof Dangxiangqiang in Tang Dynasty. The power of Tibet rose sharply in the period of which Dangxiang was affiliating to Tang Dynasty. Tibet headed to North to destroy the Tuguhun and occupy a lot of territory of Dangxiang. At the crucial point, Dangxiang immigrated to Loess Plateau of Northwest from Qinhai-Tibet Plateau of Southwest, under the support of Tang Dynasty. This is the first large immigration of Dangxiang. After the riot of AnShi, Tibet seized an opportunity going into Longyou of Hexi and invading with Dangxiang. To cut off relation between Tibet and Dangxiang, Dangxiangtuoba was immigrated to the territory of Eerduosi Plateau from Qingzhou of Loess Plateau by Tang Dynasty. There was no fight with Tang Dynasty at the outset of inward immigration of Dangxiang. However, a fierce resistance battle was induced because of generals’ misuse and noble heads’ greed in the late Tang Dynasty. Tang Dynasty finally adjusted the policy to Dangxiang (from fighting back and suppressing with arm force, to adopting active pacification policy and picking up excellent generals).According to inward immigration, there were three key reasons for Tangxiang’s social development with respect to economy. First of all, geographic environment was quite superior. Dangxiang gradually migrated to Longyouqing State and Eerduosi plateau, which had greater natural environment than Qihan-Tibet plateau. In terms of livestock, a large number of vacant fields, lands, lakes, and meadows could be found around here, and the quantity of rainfall was plentiful. These advantages were beneficial to development of planting agriculture of dry farming and raising horses, cows, lamb, and camels. Thus, both of traditional livestock farming and newly acquired agriculture exhibited the vigorous live force, after Dangxiang went into this area.Secondly, under the influence of advanced civilization of Han, Dynasty of Central Plain started to accumulate fields and develop agriculture around Longyouqing State and Eerduosiplateau, since Qin and Han.Han’s advanced production technology, farmland water conservancy and irrigation system, and production tools played positive roles in enhancing social productivity of Dangxiang and developing economy, after Dangxiang folk immigrated.Thirdly, Tang Dynasty adopted comparatively practical Jimi policy, such as awarding titles that were governor and Cishi of tribal heads, allocating vacant fields and spacious lands, allowing Dangxiang to go into farming area of Liuhu State, borrowing seed and cow tools, and encouraging reclamation and farming. Except prohibiting the exchange of sword and bow, other daily life appliances could be freely exchanged in external exchange. All of these promoted the development of Dangxiang’s feudal civilization and economic society.
