A Study On The Deviation Of Xiang

The crosstalk is a traditional Chinese art form loved by the audience. In the late twentieth Century, crosstalk masters headed by Hou Baolin passed away, and comic career got into a slump. Since 2005, with the spread of the Internet video sites and other new media, Deyun agency led by the comic actor Guo Degang suddenly rises as a new force, which has refocused the masses’ attention on the crosstalk, such a traditional form and technique and has combined it with the real life. Many classic lines in his comic have been imitated and used in daily communication. Because of language differences, foreign research on the crosstalk is rare. In recent years, there are both praise and belittlement to Guo Degang’s crosstalk on the internet. But the writing of study Guo Degang’s comic from the perspective of linguistic is not so much. Humorous language is an important reason for the unique charm of the Guo Degang’s crosstalk. Since Wang Xijie proposed "zero deviation theory", it has gradually become a hot topic in Linguistics and rhetoric circle and this theory is 1980s linguistic theory. Zero is the normalization of the language expression, while deviation of language is the variation of such normalization due to various factors in the process of communication. At present, the domestic studies research how to make humor in some literary works, opusculums and films from the perspective of deviation theory, but the analysis of humorous crosstalk language is rare. This paper tries to apply the deviation theory, taking language materials selected from the crosstalk of Guo Degang as corpora, to discuss the deviation in crosstalk and to analyze some hidden derivation form in the complex language. It is an effective method for Guo Degang to set the "baggage" by using the language derivation. In addition, Guo Degang also achieves the humorous effect by making full use of the deviation from the language logical thinking and deviation from the communicative principle.There are four chapters in the essay. The first chapter gives a general account of the study on crosstalk and deviation and introduces the method and and the goal that the essay involved. Chapter two, "deviation on pragmatic rule" studies the humor effect of Guo Degang’s crosstalk four items, which are voice, vocabulary, grammar and character. Chapter three, "deviation on language thought logic" studies the Guo Degang’s crosstalk from concept, judgment and reasoning. Chapter four, "deviation on communication rule" studies Guo Degang’s crosstalk, including the cooperative principle and politeness principle.This paper tries to apply the deviation theory to analize Guo Degang’s crosstalk language, which will provide more material for the deviation theory, at the same time, provide a new theoretical research method for the study of the traditional crosstalk. Of course, there are still some shortcomings in this paper because of my limited capacity.
