An Analysis Of Chinese Needs Of Learners Of Confucius Institute At Phuket University In

Needs Analysis which is an important empirical study in the Second Language acquisition,it can literate and specify the key factors in the process of learning exhaustively,it ahas practical guiding significance for setting teaching goal, teaching content and teaching method.In the field of teaching Chinese as foreign language,Needs Analysis can specify the Chinese learning needs from the differential learners and then direct teaching correctly.This paper will research by the theory that combined with the foreign language needs analysis which is developed deeply overseas and the Chinese language needs analysis that has been applied and sanctioned in China.In the global scope,Confucius Institute play an important role in promoting and guiding the development of the local Chinese language teaching aborad.Thailand has bacome one of the best country that has a repid development in Chinese language teaching.Chinese language teaching in Thailand has been a concern.In order to make the research more targeted and accuracy,we choose the learners whom with the same language background and study environment that from The Confucius Institute at Phuket in Prince of Songkla University as the subjects for this paper.The aim is to get some suggetions from the investigation of the present learning needs and situation of the learners that from the Chinese major grade one to grade four and the qualitative and quantitative analysis.The suggestion is put forward to the Confucius Institute to set teaching content,improve teaching methods,but also can provide some reference basis for Chinese language teaching in the non target language environment and promote the development of Chinese teaching in this area.
