Investigation On Chinese Cultural Activities Of Confucius Institutes In Thailand

The Confucius Institute has been developing rapidly on a global scale in recently years.Up till now,there are 511 Confucius Institutes and 1,073 Confucius classrooms in 140 countries all over the world.The Ministry of education has brought the Chinese teaching into the Thailand national education system in Thailand.Only Chinese language teaching can not meet the audience needs,so disseminating all kinds of Chinese cultural activities has becoming one of the important missions of the Confucius Institutes in Thailand.Nowadays,research on Confucius Institutes is booming around the world,many scholars began focus on the Chinese cultural activities of Confucius Institutes.But still now,no comprehensive studies especially on Confucius Institutes in Thailand,in which the development of Confucius Institutes is quite typical,nor do we have research on the sustainable development model for Confucius Institutes in Thailand.Therefore,Chinese cultural activities were research and analysis,it has great practical value in the cultural activities of Confucius Institutes based on the Harold Lasswell "5 W"theory,and give some efficient suggestions for the solutions of the existing problems so as to enhance the effects of these promotions.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,trying to illustrate and analyze the put forward of the subject,the significance of the study,the studying method and the previous researches.The second part generalizing the Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University.The paper analyses the Chinese at the Prince of Songkla University,which mainly includes advantages and problems in the promotion of Chinese cultural activitiesThe third part expounding Lesswell's "5W" model to analyze the Chinese culture promotional events of the Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University.By means of collecting the data of questionnaires to analyze the necessary of current situation from five aspects:To Whom,Who,Says What,In Which Channel,With What Effect.The forth part summarizing types of Chinese cultural activities of Confucius Institute and analyzing the three types combing with specific examples.The fifth part giving efficient suggestions expounds the controllable elements:Who,Says What,In Which Channel in Lesswell's "5W" model.The sixth part is the conclusion,pointing out the author's awareness of thelimitations of this research.
