How To Improve The Cultivation Of Self - Singing Ability Of Music Education Majors

This thesis aims to make a research on how to improve students’ abilities of selfplaying and self-singing by focusing on the training objectives of the major of Music Education, referring to the relevant national policy and guidelines and combining with the author’s teaching experience. The author studies quantities of scientific achievements and references at home and abroad, and also sums up personal experience and lesson in teaching practice. The significance of strengthening the abilities of self-playing and self-singing can be proved by the national policies and the basic requirements for teachers’ and students’ qualities. This thesis combines with the realistic situation, makes a discussion and analysis on the research status of self-playing and self-singing and points out some problems of curriculum, teaching model and methods, and assessment mechanism. Based on the problems, it makes further study on the two basic elements, singing and playing, and the relationship of dialectical unification. Natural singing is dominant, and the correct piano accompaniment is assistant, which leads to an emotional show. It adopts the methodology of theory combining with practice and explores the methods by the study on basic elements. Based on previous achievements and references, the last part of this thesis gives some proper suggestions and measures for self-singing and self-playing by study. Make the teaching goals and training standards clear, emphasize the training of abilities of selfsinging and self-playing in mental, and take the lessons of self-playing and self-singing into the current teaching system. It gives personal suggestions and measures for the teaching methods, curriculum and assessment mechanism separately. The lessons of self-singing and self-playing aim to strengthen the integration of disciplines, to enhance students’ systematic study and to improve students’ abilities to apply knowledge and techniques comprehensively. Assisted by the assessment mechanism of the Trinity, promote the educational reform and improve the teaching quality.
