A 6.5 earthquake occurred in Ludian county of Zhaotong City in Yunnan Province when it in local time at 16:30 on August 3, 2014. Since o the high magnitude, shallow epicenter, dense local population density, the complex geological conditions of topography, clusters of secondary disasters, and the low level of economic development etc., the earthquake brought heavy casualties and huge economic losses to Ludian and it caused serious psychological trauma and pain to people in disaster areas. Faced with the sudden disaster occurs, people will be a series of stress reactions, including discomfort both on physical and psychological, there is a variety of reactions will appear, such as panic, anxiety, fear, vulnerability, guilt, loneliness, depression(including suicide attempts), anger and frustration in psychologically, if these reactions have not been treat timely, it will develop into post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD). The impact of post-traumatic stress disorder may last for several months or even for lifetime, and it is difficult to resolve through a long period of time without any treatment. The main symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms composed by intrusive, avoidance symptoms, and hyperarousal symptoms, and negative changes in cognition and mood. In the group with PTSD, the student population is more special with a large class of individuals, because they are immature and in the critical period of physical and mental development, without perfect coping mechanisms like adults, PTSD has a more serious effect on them. Once affected by PTSD during this period, irreversible changes will occur in the lifelong mental health. In this study questionnaire survey method has been used to investigate the status quo of PTSD, objectives of the survey are students of junior high school from the hardest hit by earthquake the in Ludian. Select the students who had a high score on the survey of PTSD, combining with their results on painting projective tests, teacher’s recommendations and invite interview, treated them as objects of psychological intervention, and give them Sandplay therapy treatment and Painting therapy treatment. Using the questionnaire "DSM-5 PTSD student questionnaire", which have been amended in accordance with the latest standards of DSM-5 by the Yunnan Provincial Social Psychology. Finally 70 objects were identified for intervention of Sandplay therapy and Painting therapy intervention model. After the data was collected using spssl8.0 for data analysis, using independent samples T-test, paired samples T-test data analysis. Through theoretical analysis, intervention model is established, the intervention implementation and results of the analysis, the study concluded as follows. Conclusion one: The detection rate of PTSD on students after the earthquake have significant gender differences, girls scored higher than boys on PTSD Scale, especially in the dimension of intrusive symptoms, avoidance symptoms, cognitive and negative symptoms of change. Conclusion two: The detection rate of PTSD on students after the earthquake have significant grade differences, the first grade students of junior high school scored higher than the second grade students on PTSD Scale, especially in the dimensions of intrusive symptoms, avoidance symptoms, cognitive and negative mood changes. Conclusion three: After the treatment of intervention model using Sandplay therapy and Painting therapy, the PTSD Scale scores of students in the intervention group was significantly decreased, intervention model was proved to be effective. Conclusion Four: Significant healing effect on PTSD symptoms of the earthquake disaster area students appeared after treatment by intervention model, especially in the dimensions of intrusive symptoms, cognitive and mood changes, and changes of wake and negative reactions. |
