Investigation On Chinese Cultural Activities Of Confucius Institute At Chiang Mai University In Thailand

Thailand is one of the most rapidly developing countries in Confucius Institute and Confucius classroom. So far, it has set up 12 Confucius Institutes and 11 Confucius classrooms around the country. The Ministry of education has brought the Chinese teaching into the Thailand national education system in Thailand. One of the important mission of Chiang Mai University’s Confucius Institute is to disseminate all kinds of Chinese cultural activities and the excellent Chinese culture.Nowadays, research on Confucius Institutes is booming around the world. But still now, no comprehensive studies especially on Confucius Institutes in Thailand, in which the development of Confucius Institutes is quite typical, nor do we have research on the sustainable development model for Confucius Institutes in Thailand.Therefore, Chinese cultural activities were research and analysis, it has great practical value in the Confucius Institute at the University of Chiang Mai.Using the Lasswell’s "5W" pattern theory and cultural communication theory,carried out by Chinese cultural activities survey research at the Chiang Mai University in Thailand, has explored the way of sustainable development of Confucius Institute, investigated and analyzed from the five aspects of communicators, audience, content, mode of transmission, dissemination effect on Chinese cultural activities, and using SPSS17.0 software for statistics of investigation involves data. It is combined with the culture activity mode and an example of MidAutumn Festival cultural activities analyzing "the cultural theme series". Finally putting forward some suggestions and countermeasures on sustainable development of cultural activities, and furthering promote the promotion of Chinese culture in Thailand.Through the investigation and study, the writer argues that has formed a its own characteristics in the development process, It is combined with the culture activity mode analyzing "the cultural theme series". Therefore, the writer selects from "three controllable factors of 5W", suggestions for communicators, communicationcontent, communication media. In terms of the level of communication, first of all,we should give full play to the role of "opinion leaders"; secondly, we should propagate stably team to improve the quality of communication. In the dissemination of content, on the one hand we should be active in community service and increase their affinity; on the other hand we should deepen the dissemination of culture connotation and learn from the successful experience of other Confucius Institute. In the media, increasing capital investment and improving the hardware facilities of the Confucius Institute at the Chiang Mai University; at the same time through the application of modern advanced science and technology promotion technology to strengthen propaganda.
