| Life ceramic art is very popular with modern people for its practical and aesthetical characteristics, it makes the ceramic art more close to people’s daily life. Our life standards has been improving along with the development of economy, thus higher demands for life ceramic art is put forward, and current life ceramic art in China need an urgent promotion by creative design. Based on this background, the author summarizes the concept, the develop and the characteristics of life ceramic art, gets inspiration from outstanding life ceramic art works, then systematically discusses life ceramic art’s creative design in theory aspect.In the author’s opinion, life ceramic art’s creative design must be carried out under the tradition-developed, multielement-symbiotic and human-oriented design ideas, it should meet people’s aesthetic needs and take the practical function into account. The designers can pursue variety design from modeling, decoration and sintering. At the same time, break boundaries between them, personalize the decoration, use unique modeling and various sintering technique to perfect decoration, thus realize the integration of creative design. The most important thing for the designers is to inherit and carry forward the traditional culture, to reference and fusion the foreign culture, to form their own design language through the combination of traditional art’s form and connotation with modern art. Then use the language to put the designers’ understanding of life into their work. In addition, modern science and technology can be used to expand the application field of life ceramic art and promote the domestic life ceramic art. The designers should put more human care into their works too. The purpose of this paper is to explore the creative design of life ceramic design, in order to promote the development of modern life ceramic art in china to fulfill the growing personalized needs of people for material and spiritual life. |
