Landscape painting is a long history traditional painting in China, along with world widely painting confluent, landscape painting keep up with the time. However, after Do QiChang’s “South & North Song dynasty”, they consider your painting background and teacher, then people do not dare to have any violation for painting formalism under “Four Kings” influenced at early Qing dynasty. At this time, painting skill stick-in-the-mud and stale. In KangXi imperium of Qing dynasty, the missionary Lang ShiNing as painter in King’s palace, who research and abstract western painting skill, applied with Chinese painting technology, melt them together. He fusing wash painting and western geometry transparency theory, and including Chinese painting culture. David Hockney highlight there is another way to appreciate the painting except transparency method, there is “moving appreciation”, like the palace painter XuYang’s <The Qianlong Southern Inspection Tour>. All of these palace painter or official painter shows weakness and sag inside, but also there is a painting language to exist.Of course, beside of the official painter, there are some others great painters carry weight also, like 4 monks and Yangzhou Eight Eccentrics, they against formalism painting, and advocate creative. But the literator’s painting durance in their personally subjective spirit. Sir Qi BaiShi agree to accept and inherit the painter’s creative, color expression, and the meanwhile, he against indulge in self-admiration. At the early of 20 th century,May-4 campaign, some pioneers improved the wash painting, such as Xu BeiHong, Lin FenMian, Liu HaiSu. And after that, Pang XunQin,Zhang Ding, Zhu DaNian, Lei GuiYuan, Zheng Ke, Wu GuanZhong, Yuan YunFu who from central painting collage make a reform for the contemporary wash painting. Then at 20 th century 80-90 years, there are big amount of western contemporary painting comes to China, the melt structuralism and symbol into contemporary wash painting, so not just only expand the traditional painting material and technology, and promote the formation and improvement of experiment wash painting, new wash painting, abstract wash painting.Traditional wash painting or contemporary China painting is language system, including the white background, line shape, black-white, planarity, decorative, metaphor as characters, Color, artistic conception, shape, location management which completed in language system.This article major in research of Du Dakai’s contemporary wash painting language, He follows the traditional painting and using black-white structure as primary element which under China painting language system, and then reference and apply some western contemporary painting language, and combine BaDa Shan-Ren, Qi BaiShi, Lin FengMian, Wu GuanZhong, Zhu DaNian, Yuan YunFu’ s wash painting language. But for the influence of Du Dakai’s research to contemporary washing painting, like appreciation method, layout structure, color expression, black-white proportion build up and practice. Across the study and analysis for Du DaKai’s wash painting language, then combine my ideas which from invention and practice, illustrate the individually observation method and choice under Du DaKai’s contemporary wash painting language system influence.
