A Study On The Image Of The Murals In The Northern Qi Dynasty

In this study, the characters image of Beiqi tomb mural was selected as the object. The paper tried to describe the overall style and appearance of the characters images of Beiqi Dynasty tomb mural by analyzing the subject, layout, modeling and other characteristics of the characters image.Firstly, the paper reviewed the characters image of Beiqi tomb mural from different regions of Beiqi Dynasty and the similarity and diversity were discussed. After that, to compare the characters image of Beiqi tomb mural with the other characters image in different times, regimes and art categories during the distinct historical context and pattern, the paper believed that the prominent feature of the characters image of Beiqi tomb mural was the high realism. The fundamental reason which contributed to this special phenomenon was investigated in this research. At the end, through the comparison of scroll paintings, literatures and drawing details of the characters image in Beiqi tomb mural, the author discussed the narrative method of the painting style in Beiqi Dynasty.
