A Study On The Female Image Styles In The Tomb Mural Of Tang Dynasty

The existing reliable Tang Dynasty painting is rare,and the Tang Dynasty scrolls are difficult to distinguish.The majority of the murals and the silk paintings unearthed from Tang Dynasty Dunhuang grottoes have no reliable records.Therefore,the study of the history of art in the Tang Dynasty over the years has been too much relying on the history of ancient painting records,scrolls used to confirm the history of the paintings are mostly chronological and painters are difficult to determine,resulting in many issues under debate.Most of the murals of Tang Dynasty tombs have a clear history,and the remnants of the female images of the mural from the early Tang to the late Tang Dynasty sequence is relatively complete,these has become a system of beautiful women Painting in the Tang Dynasty research materials.The first chapter discusses the location and function of the female images of the tomb mural in the Tang Dynasty,and points out that the position of the female images in the mural is imitating the position around the tomb's master while sacrificial offering.The function is to serve the master “as if he was alive”,the specific approach is to simulate the symbolic mausoleum rituals,rather than directly imitate the real life of the master.The second chapter analyzes the four factors that affect the style of beauties painting in the tomb of Tang Dynasty:modeling,composition,drawing techniques,sketch.Different composition of the style of elements constructs different painting style of the Tang Dynasty murals female images.The third chapter discusses the staging and type of female image of the mural in the Tang Dynasty.The fourth chapter take 64 tombs(from AD 631 to AD 864)that have remnants of female images mural as main body,and engraved female images on stone coffin,stone tomb doors from 21 tombs within Tang Dynasty as a supplement,to build a system that associated the Tang Dynasty tomb mural female image style type with time.This system is a very practical tool,could be a context research reference of female image of Tang Dynasty,but also could reflect the style changes of beauties painting of Tang Dynasty,hence,to build a relatively complete and reliable framework of Tang Dynasty beauties painting history.
