| As an important part of China’s development of cultural industries, the music industry has always been the focus attention of the entertainment industry, cultural industry and legal profession. In recent years, the rapid development and popularization of the Internet not only is changing the way people live, but also changed the music progress road, breaking the traditional industrial chain pattern. The change of the operation mode of the music industry is generated under the background of the Internet advances. Its development affected by many factors. The industry chain is inadequate, and has not yet formed a more systematic and mature industry profit model. New Internet technologies bring us convenience, but they also bring corresponding challenges, especially the conflict between networking spirit of sharing and copyright of music, which makes music copyright issue with the core problem of industrial development.Digital music is lack of protection for its copyright, which makes the whole industry to get into a predicament, and the business model of the traditional music industry has been unable to meet industrial changes brought about by new technologies. In the context of Internet development, starting from the music industry chain, this paper elaborates on the basic theory and related concepts of copyrights, as well as traditional music copyright process. On this basis, it analyzes the special nature of the copyrights of the music industry and generally lists the current problems music industry faces. It mainly points out that the key issues about music industry development to be addressed is the copyright issue, and fundamentally puts forwards the point of collision about the interest allocation of all parties. The paper concludes with a solution that the proposition and establishment of electronic commerce model seeks to build up a new industry structure model, and it fundamentally solves the Internet music copyright issues, and changes the predicament faced by the music industry, combining the copyright theory and industrial practice.
