A Study Of The Poems Of Mongolian Customs

For a long time, The Book of Mongolian’s Customs as an important work in the history of Mongolia did not caused the interest and concern from some related scholars. Rombsang, a Mongolian writer through his skilled Mongolian language finished this encyclopedic work in1918. However, due to the printing skill and some more reasons at that time, his book has only been keeping at the bottom of the Notes. In 1978, Hadansang, a professor from Inner-Mongolian University made many related researches and supplied some contents so that made this famous book to public.In this book’s hundred year’s history, many experts and scholars did a series of in-depth study. But most researches just focused on the point of its history of folk custom in which only few people explored the literary in it. From time after time study to this book, the writer found the pomes that included in are not only reflected the Mongolian’s traditional wedding etiquette,religious culture, and wine culture and local customs, but also some poems are rarely mentioned or never mentioned in other works. By sorting out and researching the pomes in this book, on the one hand we can fill the gaps of its literary point; on the other hand we can explore the cultural and psychological characteristics of Mongolian in different history.The thesis is divided into three chapters:In chapter 1, the contents of the poems included in The Book of Mongolian’s Customs are analyzed. The author clarifies the poems into three kinds based on the contents those poems reflect, lists the representative works, further, the author states the contents of those poems,analyzes and explains the ideological nature.In chapter 2, the uniqueness of the poems included in The Book of Mongolian’s Customs is analyzed. The key points are the unique religious culture, ethnic customs and educational function reflected by those poems.In chapter 3, the style characteristics of the poems included in The Book of Mongolian’s Customs are analyzed. The form and artistic characteristics of the Mongolian poems are key points. The author intends to explain the artistic value fully through those related researches in this chapter.In the peroration, the author makes supplementary instructions of the poems in the book.
