In this study,self-confidence is defined as feeling confident for one’s learning capacity.Self-cofidence could facilitate both students’ achievement and their mental health. In the survy of teenagers’ general feeling quality,self-confidence is proved to be lower than average marks and it showed a continuous decreasing in middle school stage and high school stage.Three internal ralated studies constitute the whole study of selfconfidence,in order to testify the decreasing tendency again and make a more deep study about self-confidence.In the fist study, two scales are established. They are selfconfidence scale of teenagers and influent factors of self confidence scale. The first scale includes trait self-confidence and response self-confidence. The second scale includes peers, parents and teachers,in which peers play the biggest roles. Both self-confidence scale and influent factors of self confidence scale have high validity and reliability. We use these scales to survy the current situation of teenagers. The result shows that teenagers’ self-confidence showed significant difference between grades, learning perfomance, parents’ education background and numbers of children in a family.Meanwhile, the positive after effect of self-confidence is studied through biofeedback instrument, the result of which indicate the necessity of cultivating selfconfidence in teenagers. Teenagers with different self-confidence levels have different mentl regulation when they meet difficult learning tasks, which shows difference in their skin conductance. In the end,we plan and arrange an intervene experiment of 8-week teaching classes. The result shows that teenagers’ self-confidence can be improved by on-site teaching acativies.
