In this study, positive psychology theory combined withgroup counseling to explore positive psychologicalcounseling organizations to improve the level of the college‘confidence to extend the concept of positive psychology,rich college students self-confidence ways and means. In thisstudy, Shanxi Normal University undergraduates as researchsubjects, taking a quasi-experimental design, subjects weredivided into the experimental group and the control group.The experimental group takes eight positive psychologicalcounseling groups while the control group receives nointervention. Before the experiment intervention, during andafter the intervention, and three months after the interventiongroups were conducted psychological tests, the experimentalintervention process and the members of the group wereinterviewed after the intervention, observation records. Through the experimental group, the control grouppsychological test data and qualitative analysis of thematerial, the effect of group counseling were assessed. Theresults show that positive psychological counselingorganizations enhance the confidence of college students,apositive perception, feeling positive emotions, form positiverelationships, develop positive behavior and other aspects ofgood counseling effects, and the results have certainlong-term and persistent; control group has no significantchange in all aspects. In this study, the following conclusions:(1)positive orientation group counseling improves collegestudents’ confidence with good promotional effect.(2) Positively oriented group counseling for collegestudents self-confidence and effective intervention, socialinteraction, there were significant changes in mood state,interpersonal, appearance, academic performance,significant changes in the experimental group membersself-confidence, mainly due to the positive orientation of thegroup activities to promote positive changes occurred in theactive members of the cognitive, emotional, behavioral up.(3)the efficacy factor of promoting self-confidence:includinggood community atmosphere, peer support groups, between the effectiveness of group activities, leaders and members ofthe good interaction.(4) in the experimental group oriented group counselingthrough positive changes its natural trend, make it to thepositive direction, indicating that the intervention in theexperimental group actively assisted Institute on CollegeStudents’ self-confidence is not only to improve the promotionand improvement of real-time effects, but also there arepotential long-term effects.
