Liang Qichao is the famous politician, ideologist and philosopher in the modern history of China. About the historical evolution viewpoint,Liang Qichao integrated Darwin’s evolution theory in western natural science and the traditional Chinese changing history, thus formed the historical evolution viewpoint with its uniqueness. Liang Qichao’s historical evolution viewpoint plays a role in connecting in the progress of the Chinese philosophical view of history, it subverted the traditional Chinese changing history,and also did the necessary ideological preparation for people to accept the historical materialism.This paper combs the ideological origin, specific content, characteristics and significance of Liang Qichao’s evolution history idea, and jointly presentsLiang Qichao’s evolution history idea. In the second part of the paper, it analyzes the specific content of evolution history idea in detail from the inevitability of the evolution history idea, the main body, motivation and process of evolution respectively. It hopes to provide valuable point of view for today’s society through the carding of Liang Qichao’s evolutionary history idea. Liang Qichao affirmed the role of "community", and argued that the motivation of evolution included "competition", "change" and "belief". Liang Qichao affirmed the driving force of human to the historical development, but in this process he inevitably exaggerated the role of "belief", which made his evolution history idea develop towards the direction of the voluntarism. Liang Qichao’s affirmation of “belief” was essential to China at that time. This view helped Chinese people to buildself-confidence in themselves, which madethe country become stronger.
