Human geography is a science focusing on the relationship between space and the world, society, environment and so on. Learning human geography is helpful to make people think from the macroscopic perspective. The translator chose chapter 8 of Human Geography: People, Place and Culture-political geography as the translation material and expected to make a reference for the readers to learn human geography. There were many causative sentences with causative words in the original text and the translator considered carefully before giving them reasonable meanings. Also, in order to make messages in the original text delivered clearly, the method of amplification was used. After several revisions, the translator analyzed, classified and corrected the inaccurately translated parts and expected to make a reference for similar texts’ translation.
