Li Xu, Dan And Human Geography In China Study

Geography history of ideas is an important component of the academic research to the history of geography.geologist thinking of the history of ideas is geography important part.In this paper, taking for the famous Chinese Human Geography Professor Li Xu Dan as the research subject, discusses his academic contributions and academic thinking from different periods and different aspects.The author collected and read a large number of Li Xu Dan's writings and books in the process of writing this paper,saw the development of Geography in that era,visited the geography department of the Nanjing Normal University where Mr Li had worked and his family(his wife and brother-in-law),knew more about Mr Li.In the study,many subjects are related to,such as science and technology,history and geography.The author hopes that all her try above could lead to a comprehensive and proper judgment for the theme of her paper.This paper is divided into six chapters:Chapter 1:Introduction of the topics,accounting for the origins of this paper,status in quo of research,and research methods.Professional nature of the history of science and technology is the reason for the theme of this paper.The determinative factor why the author choose this theme is that Li Xu Dan is the founder of the modern human geography.Modern scholars always praised him most from the comprehensive and broad perspective on his contributions to the development of Chinese geography.The paper is based on the comprehensive collection of Mr.Li's areicles, discusses his contribution to all aspects of geography partially,Then from the perspective of geography history,the author summed up his thinking as a part of the developing process of the geography disciplines,hoping for providing guidance's to the future research into the history of the modern geography.The second chapter introduced Li xu dan's resume,analyzed his articles,and then the author combined Li Xu Dan's studding in various periods with the history background(central policy on geography research and the development of the geography at that time in china),discussed the important significance of his study.The third chapter:This chapter mainly discusses the outstanding contribution that Mr Li made in various fields during reviving time of Human Geography,analyses why Mr.Li can put forward reviving Human Geography at firs time.The author cited the tremendous achievements which was achieved during reviving time of Human Geography.All of above reflects Mr.Li's far—sight in academic research. The four chapter:This chapter concluded and summarized Mr Li's learning contents which was made by him in various fields in Human Geography,all this contents constituted china's modern Human Geography of the foundation of scientific theories.For example,the following achievements: basic theory of Human Geography,branches,research methods and so on.Chapter five:In this chapter,the other important aspect of Mr Li's geography thinking (teaching geography) was discussed.Mr Li contributed more than fifty years to geography education, and praised by his students for his profound knowledge,vivid teaching methods and Rigorous scientific attitudes,know more about Mr.Li through description of his relatives.Finally,the author made a preliminary discussion,and draw relevant conclusions on the various elements of the above study.Li Xu Dan,although his's life is full of frustrations,but he still can achieve such a great success,especially the last five years in his life,it is the academic life of the most brilliant creative period.The subject of human geography(except economic geography) in the Chinese academic circles was abandoned for many years,in the new historical conditions,Mr.Li took the lead in reviving human geography,made a lot of infrastructure work,and made a great contribution to the reviving human geography.Contemporary scholars should learn his studying and research spirit.He disciplines in the human geography of China's enormous contribution to the development of the valuable legacy of geography and ideology is always available and worthy of geographers from the treasure house of knowledge.
