A Study Of Li Bai 's Subject Drama In Yuan, Ming And Qing Dynasties

Li Bai, as an important poet in ancient China, has always been descripted in various kinds of subjects of literature. In the eyes of poets, Li bai is a brilliant poet with the style of natural grace, while he is as well a chivalrous fighter in the heart of the public. However, it would barely have a profound understanding of Li Bai from a sole perspective. Since the dynasties of Tang, Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing, the diverse appearance of "Li Bai" has been shaped in the form of poems, CIs, QUs, proses, novels, dramas and drawings created by writers and artists. Except for the difference of "self-portrait", history biography and artistic shape towards the so-called "image of Li Bai", the literati since the Tang Dynasty have been respecting the genius poet with hundreds of poems, including the extensive description of image of Li Bai in the dramas and Zajus of the Yuan Dynasty. In terms of concept, the "image of Li Bai" in Zajus of the Yuan Dynasty includes meanings: the first one refers to a generalized meaning, that is Zajus of the Yuan Dynasty involved in Li Bai, which incorporates the Zajus and other dramas of describing Li Bai; the second one refers to a narrowed meaning, that is the literary works provided with representativeness in dynasty of Ming and Qing, which depicts the most positive image in the whole life of Li Bai, puts the main moment to the screen, and foils the free and easy manner of Li Bai by introducing necessary details.This paper conducts a comprehensive and systematic research of literary works of Li Bai in drama, and combs the origins of the stories, which reflects the handed-down characteristics of "image of Li Bai" and reveals the connotative structure of the accepted history of Li Bai in Chinese culture. The intensive acquaintance of Li Bai can be implemented by multiple perspectives in drama works based on the materials in Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasty, which profoundly uncovers the formed "image of Li Bai" since ancient times.Many literary works in different fields have been involved in the research of Li Bai, and some of them study deeply. This paper mainly conducts the research in the following four parts: Firstly, the part one studies the narrative of "image of Li Bai" from the self-portrait and history biography, and sketches the situation of save and lost based on the drama works of Li Bai in Ming Dynasty, and summarizes the basic conclusion of previous studies, and provides the materials in the following parts. Secondly, the dramas concerned with Li Bai in the dynasties of Yuan, Ming and Qing are combed and elaborated. Then, the "image of Li Bai" of dramas in the dynasties of Yuan, Ming and Qing is specificly analyzed, and explained the characters and image features. Finally, the shaped character of Li Bai in drama works is summarized, and the utterance is moulded, which indicates the unique character of describing the "image of Li Bai" compared with other genres.
