Discourse Markers are the language forms that are often used in our daily lives.Although its use does not influence the semantics of the sentences, it helps to convey the mental states, intentions and emotions of the speakers. So it is crucial for speakers and hearers to use Discourse Markers properly when they communicate with each other. It will promote to communicate between both sides of the dialogue if Discourse Markers used properly and will become communicate barriers when using inappropriately. There are a great amount of Discourse Markers between Chinese and Korean, many of them could correspond with each other. But even mutually corresponding Discourse Markers will be different on semantic features and functions of different languages. Therefore, the paper studies Discourse Markers of‘怎么’in Chinese and‘(?)’in Korean and gave them a comparative analysis from the perspective of semantics, syntax and pragmatic.First of all, drawing their semantic similarities and differences by comparing the dictionary definitions. In the second, drawing their similarities and differences in the syntactic features by comparing three aspects of independent usage, distribution and conjunction situations. At last, the paper’s research corpus based on the characters dialogues in China and South Korea TV Series and draw the conclusion of similarities and differences on pragmatic function to be the most important conclusion of this article by analyzing the intentions, attitudes and emotions of the speakers.I hope this paper can make the exchanges between peoples from China and South Korea more smoothly, avoid unnecessary misunderstanding.
