This thesis takes the dancing image of "Daiyu Lin" as the main research subject.8 works including Ying Yu version of "Dream of the Red Chamber", Jianmin Zhang version of "red- funeral flower spirit", Su Hua Xiao version of "Stones in the sun-Dreaming about the Red Chamber" and so on are used as case studies of 30-year time span,the format of which covers classical ballet, one actor ballet, national ballet, modern balllet and so on. This thesis is to do overall research on the body language of the dancing image of Daiyu Lin.The first chapter combs the origins of Lin Daiyu’s body language through briefly analyzing the Lin Daiyu ’s characteristic features in the literary works and films.The second chapter takes dancing works and dancings as the research subject,the presented dancing genre includes dancing drama, dancing poem and ballet; the presentation of the dancing embraces two major topics in the original work, selected specific(such as "The Flower Funeral", "Lin Daiyu Burns her Manuscripts" and so on) as well as detaching from extension of original works and adapted contents.The third chapter adopts narrative analysis method to find out five narrations including pulling-through narration, subjective psychology narration, threads stealth narration, theme variation narration and defamiliarization narration around shaping Lin Daiyu’ image through observation and combing.The forth chapter analyzes Lin Daiyu’s dancing body language from two perspectives including the construction of the body context and dancing body language.First, classic texts and the director’s personality choice for Lin Daiyu dance image shape to create a traditional and modern two distinct physical context.Second, diversified etymology,extract of typical body language and semantic orientation, emotional body language and vague semantics construct this figure’s body language. In order to explore Lin Daiyu’s typical body language, etymology and semantic orientation,the analysis of body language in this chapter refers to four aspects including many times of dances including classic, ballet, modern ballet and so on, transformation from life language to dancing language, indication and symbolization of action, original morpheme and connotation. Lastly, try to interpret ambiguity of body language though speech chain and body electromotive force of association.The fifth chapter is to comb the regularity of Lin Daiyu’s dancing body language construction. From three perspectives such as restriction and deconstruction of the text, dancing symbol generative mechanism as well as combination and separation of individuality and generality of dancing symbol, from macroscopic scale to microscopic scale, from concrete to abstract, from generality to regularity,analyze thoroughly Lin Daiyu’s dancing symbol construction and summarize the process,development and restriction of the dancing body language generation.
