The most representative researches are Ruan Yuan, Wang song, Li Cheng,Shi Fan and so on. The more valuable is that Wang Song led by Yunnan scholars and Li Cheng led by other provinces and scholars on the Yunnan history and culture of the ownership of the problem launched a fierce debate and confrontation.From Guangxu period to Qing dynasty demise, it is the end stage of the Qing Dynasty of Yunnan historical geography. The official mark is Guangxu Xu Yunnan Tong Zhi Gao. The private mark is Liu Weisan’s Concise Local Chronicles of Yunnan. These two works produced in the late Qing Dynasty, they have fully absorbed the results of previous studies on the historical geography of Yunnan.They are summarized from the aspects of official and private scholars and achieved a fairly high academic achievement.On the basis of summarizing the key figures and representative works, the paper to explore the literature tradition and the compilation style of the historical geography of Yunnan in the Qing Dynasty,to analysis and summary the theoretical methods and connotation of the reserves. And through the study of the historical geography of Yunnan in the Qing Dynasty to expand the horizon of the frontier historical geography. In finally, the historical geography of Yunnan in the Qing Dynasty was established in the southwest of China, which can be related to the historical geography of the northwest frontier.
