Traditional grammar teaching advocates teaching bei sentences from the perspective of agent-patient relation and subject-predicate relation. Enlightened by construction-chunk theory which is promoted by Jianming Lu, Danjie Su etc, the author makes a study of the relationship between bei sentence and construction-chunk theory. Besides, the theory being applied in the special Chinese sentence pattern has already existed in the educational circle. The error, resulting from the shortage of traditional grammar teaching method, makes it possible to apply the construction-chunk theory to the teaching of bei sentence.First of all, the author investigates the current situation of bei sentence at the initial stage and the arrangement of grammatical items of bei sentence in the outline and the textbooks, then investigating the error acquisition condition of current bei sentence based on HSK. The author finds that it is not perfect that the teaching and learning in bei sentence under the direction of traditional grammatical analysis, which compels us to explore a new teaching method.Secondly, the paper tries to use construction-chunk theory in the teaching of bei sentence in primary station, classifies construction linguistic data of word bei in CCL corpus and combines with frequency of occurrence of bei construction in syllabus in order to ensure the teaching content in bei construction. The paper analyzes four kinds of construction under the guide of construction-chunk theory, discussing the respective constructional meaning, configuration of lexical chunks and chains of lexical chunks.Last but not least, the teaching plan designed of bei sentence under the guidance of construction-chunk theory has been applied to contrasting teaching experience among overseas students in Medical College of Yangzhou University, which adopts statistics package for social science ----SPSS22.0 to analyze the teaching data, in which the author finds the teaching efficiency of bei sentence directed by construction-chunk theory is superior to that directed by traditional grammatical teaching. In conclusion, the feasibility and validity of bei sentence teaching directed by construction-chunk theory not only broaden the applied range of construction-chunk theory in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, but also provide a brand new complementary ideas for the grammar teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.
