Over the past twenty years, pop music discipline gradually came into the classroom of art colleges in our country, however it is still be a newly emerging topic. With the continuous development of popular music, the development of popular music in colleges and universities also need to constantly update.This article base on the study of professional subject orientation and research of course design in some domestic colleges and universities popular music major, emphasized the significance for construction of colleges and universities pop music discipline.Base on the teaching practice research of extracurricular experimental musical works “Youth notebook “ from Nanjing University of The Arts pop music college, it proposed by reasonable assumptions for the leap from extracurricular experimental teaching practices to in-class course,and also propose for professional subject orientation and research of course design,reasonable doing optimize and upgrade of teaching resources,, create for popular music subject teaching and learning a virtuous cycle, Make up the vacancywithin the teaching course design, in order to realize the innovation in pop music disciplineteaching practice.
