Popular dance as a form of a special kind of dance culture in today’s society, with its highly entertaining, freedom in form, and artistic quality, full of the sense of rhythm, as a pioneer art of the era was approved by the general population to accept, rapid development.In order to strengthen the theoretical study of popular dance promote the rich of dance is perfect, to meet the social and cultural development and the urgent need of popular dance talent we have adopted the literature material law, questionnaire investigation, expert interview method and so on research methods on pop dance, analyzing the concept, classification and features of and the sports colleges and universities of the necessity and feasibility of cultivating professional talents of popular dance and pop dance professional talent training scheme of preliminary study, the following conclusions:1. Including the emergence and development of domestic plaza, fitness dance and abroad to come over the street dance, jazz dance, Latin dance, tap dance, pole dancing and so on. Narrow popular dance mainly refers to:in Europe and the United States as the center, reflect contemporary popular around the world performing dance jazz, hip-hop, and society.2. Popular dance, sports colleges and universities of professional personnel training mainly reflects social and cultural development, the background of development of human personality development, art and sports colleges and universities of professional art four aspects such as construction demand.3.
