Study On Zhao Feng's Music Thoughts

This dissertation objectively analyzed and assessed Zhaofeng's music thoughts based on a large number of materials,by combining with the background of education, culture,politics and music,which were continuously changing from about 1930s to 1990s.Zhaofeng's different thoughts in music were integrated in the article,while the development and reform on music in the 20th century were indirectly reflected and generalized.This thesis includes four chapters,in which four aspects of Zhaofeng's music thoughts were overall trimmed and researched.In the first chapter,Zhaofeng's argument on "new music" was explained through depicting the history at the beginning of the twentieth century,while "new music" began to emerge,and contrasting to the other main musicians' opinions on "new music" at that time.We can find that Zhaofeng threw himself into the Anti-Japanese War with full of patriotic feeling by using music as a weapon,although his limitations of thinking under the times were revealed according to his speeches.In the chapter two,Zhaofeng's view on the development of China's professional music education after establishment of P.R.C.was researched,especially on his measures of the curriculum and teaching reform and how to foster students in the Central Conservatory of Music.There is no denying the fact that Zhaofeng had made affirmed achievements on the aspect of leading the teaching-learning and scientific research in the Central Conservatory of music.By introducing the track of development of music education after establishing P.R.C. in music teacher-training normal colleges,elementary schools and middle schools, Zhaofeng's viewpoints on the curriculum arrangement and the training of teachers in music teacher-training normal colleges,and on the popularization of aesthetic education in elementary and middle schools,were abstracted in detailed in the chapter three.At the same time,it was showed that Zhaofeng paid close attention to the music teacher-training normal colleges,elementary and middle schools.He farsightedly surveyed that it was important for the development of society to foster multiple talents.As for the last chapter,Zhaofeng's explanations for the popular music and the trendy music,which have been continuously moving since the reform and opening-up in China, were emphatically stated.Zhaofeng,who grown up under the background of Anti-Japanese War,had more or less political inclination to the popular music on the theme and expression of songs.
