A batch of early stage murals in the second floor of Jokhang Temple were put into storehouse for a long time after implemented cutting protection by antiquarian. The seventy‐four early stage murals stored were rich in contents which had strong East India Pala Art property, which served as a link in the development of painting art in the early stage of the second propagation of Buddhism in Tibet area. But there were not many special articles about it due to its long‐term seal and storage. The object of this paper focused on the style research and identification of images on the five murals cut by antiquarian as well as three murals on the original site protected in the second floor. It is hoped to make these precious mural arts revalued by educational circles through images identification.
