Dazhao Temple is located in Hohhot Yuquan District in Inner Mongolia. The monastery, which was first built in 1579,is an important large-scale Tibetan Buddhist Monasteries in existence in Inner Mongolia.Nechung Monastery,as part of Dazhao Temple, is located to the west of the building group axis. Some mural paintings of Qing Dynasty in existence found in the north, east and west are completely reserved, which are as the same as the original mural paintings in history in Inner Mongolia. Not commonly seen, these paintings are taken as such research objects as Tibetan Buddhist deity worship and ways of combination in Dharmapala, and they are of great historical and artistic value. This paper starts from the mural paintings of Nachung in Dazhao Temple, explores the contents, the system of Deity and other related topics, and further clarify the relationship between the mural paintings of Nachung and multi-ethnic cultural exchanges. It analyzes images of these paintings on the basis of historical documents, and then infers that they are painted no later than the mid-Qing dynasty. The mural painting not only carries forward and pushes forward the Dharmapala in Tibet, but also embodies the artistic form of Central Chinese characteristics;at the same time, the combining ways of deity among Pehar,Tsamba and Garwai Nagpol is an embodiment of the national and regional characteristics of Tibetan Buddhist Monasteries in Inner Mongolia. Here it reveals the inner cause of the extensive construction of Nechung in Inner Mongolia, and the Inner Mongolia region and its relations with the religion, politics, and culture in Inner Mongolia.
