Resource type city is a class of special city group which was developed in the process of urbanization process.In this special group of cities’ development, many countries are in different extent appeared the exhaustion of the mineral resources, environmental pollution and ecological damage, the second industry proportion is too large, the economic development becomes slower and many other problems. During the process of resource based urban development, we need to find the path of development and the breakthrough point. This paper mainly discussed how to find the path from the text and tourism industry convergence, and boost the development and transformation of resource-based cities. The tourism industry is the key point for the whole world to optimize the industrial structure, its development is not only related to the optimization of the industrial structure, but also related to the quality of economic development. Liupanshui, as a typical resource-based city, to develop the travel industry is an important choice, at the same time, in the industry theory system, studies about the culture travel industry integration are gradually increasing, these studies continue to enrich and practice of industrial integration, transformation and development in Liupanshui city’s power.This article is mainly from the background, significance, domestic and foreign present researches of the text brigade industry integration and resource type city development and the simple introduction and the elaboration to it, which leads to the concept, this article involves the theoretical basis and reference model at home and abroad.
