The development of higher education in China is at the juncture of reforming the society. "the education must satisfy to the people", It is not only the request of the state to the education, but also the responsibility of the education itself. Higher education plays an important role in the development of social economy, especially the rapid development of knowledge economy and information society, the reality of higher education has been unable to meet the educational needs of the people. At present, China’s higher education is in the ideological concept, such as the instrumental values, the pragmatism education theory, the social sectionalism of education. Therefore, why can’t China’s higher education to cultivate outstanding master, why cannot meet the social expectations of talent cultivation. How should higher education be developed? Training what kind of person? The root causes of these problems, all need to be answered by the philosophy of thinking. Only through philosophical reflection can we understand the orientation of higher education in nature, clear the concept of higher education personnel training, point out the direction of the development of Higher Education.In this paper, the theory of human nature and human development in Marx’s philosophy is the theoretical basis, through the review of the historical evolution of China’s higher education, the development of higher education in the western contrast, the analysis of the current development trend of China’s higher education, the essence of human nature is analyzed, and the dialectical relationship between the essence of higher education and the essence of human is comprehensively analyzed from the perspective of the philosophy of higher education. This paper discusses how to confirm the essence of higher education from the essence of human. To clear up the misunderstanding of the essence of human being in higher education, and Summed up the Chinese higher education lack of subject consciousness, philosophical self-consciousness is not high; the essence of one-sided understanding; lack of self-reflection in the "human" concept.In the end, it puts forward that the shift of Chinese higher education needs to complete the training of "human". China’s higher education needs to shift from philosophy to human nature, and from the practice to the development of human personality; from content to the humanistic education; from the evaluation to the multi subject. Higher education China to "people" to not only conforms to the intrinsic demand of social economic development at present, also in line with the essence of law education.
