As a pearl on the Latin American continent, Argentina has been through socialand economic upheavals during the establishment of democratic system. Since theIndependence from the Spanish colonial domination, they were three periods, theestablishment of democratic system, the transitional periods between militarygovernments and civilian governments, then, back to the normal track ofre-establishment of democratic system. During this long period, the diplomacymechanism was also developed. Overall, the diplomacy mechanism containsexecutive branch, legislative branch, judicial branch and the special governor meeting.This mechanism had its own features, the president is in the core of authority, thecabinet meeting is the cradle of policy-making, the parliament has the rights ofsupervision. Furthermore, the development of the mechanism also influenced byvarious elements came from international and internal of Argentina.This thesis mainly focuses on the transition of the diplomacy mechanism ofArgentina during21century. The thesis divided this time into two periods according tothe different presidents, the president Kirchner(2003-2007),and the presidentChristina(2007-now).Both these periods are led by the “Frente para la Victoria”,however, there are some changes in the development of the mechanism. Based on theresearch of the development of the diplomacy mechanism, this thesis intends toforecast the trends of Argentina’s future diplomacy policies and promotes advices forthe relationship between China and Argentina.
