Taiwan has undergone tremendous and profound changes since the1980spolitical transition. The development and variation of Taiwan’s party politics is notonly the result of political transition, but also the decisive power of its futureadvancement. In party politics, the "pan-blue camp" has been an important social andpolitical force of Taiwan for a long time, its trend and development is directly relatedto the political situation and cross-strait relations. Currently, cross-strait relations andTaiwan’s political transition are both in a very critical period. Interaction betweenpolitical parties in Taiwan is the inherent power to promote Taiwan’s politicaldevelopment since its political transition. Especially after Ma Ying-jeou of KMT wonthe election and continued re-election in2008and2012, two-party system hasbecome increasingly clear of Taiwan. The "pan-blue camp" as the combined forces ofthe ruling party, the internal conflicts and political cooperation of the third parties willhave a direct impact on Taiwan’s political relationship and party system.Within the framework of Democratic Transition, Party Politics Theory, this paperanalysis the integration and split of the "pan-blue camp" in detail, and drawconclusion that formed two-party system will not be affected by the dissolution of the"pan-blue camp". By analyzing the universal phenomenon of party politics in thetransitional society, this paper try to demonstrate the general rule of party politics inthe state of free competition, namely the universalization of party reconstruction.Inthe process of polarization and recombination of benefit, a political competitionmechanism may be formed gradually, namely party system.
