Examine the social and political history of human development, we found that incertain historical periods, political systems and social behavior patterns of members ofa particular political system have their own characteristics. These characteristics notonly depend on the level of economic development and economic and politicalstructure of society, but also affected by the cultural factors of the society, such as thecustoms, habits, values and ways of thinking. These cultural factors are the politicalculture which this paper is going to talk about. The impact of political culture on thepolitical development is very deep, penetrating into almost all aspects of political life.The Chinese nation has a long history of over two thousand years, the traditionalConfucian political culture through a variety of mechanisms to penetrate into people’slives, relationships, customs, behavior and the way of thinking, thus deposited as anational cultural---mental structure. This culture-mental structure affects people’spolitical relations and political behaviors, which to some extent affect the process ofChina’s political development.This article includes four chapters.The first chapter mainly to explain the origin and the significance of the study.,and describes the relevant concepts and research methods and structures of thepaperThe second chapter is to explore the history and core values of the Confuciantraditional culture. its core values can be summarized as: the ideal world of Datongand well-off society, hierarchy of honoring the monarch while suppressing the people,moral demand for emphasizing the people, and the values of "Valuing Loyalty".The third chapter is the core of this paper. It will contact to the status of Chinesepolitical development and discuss the influence of Confucian traditional politicalculture on China’s contemporary political development. As a traditional culture whichhas as long as two thousand history, the traditional Confucian political culture througha variety of mechanisms to penetrate into people’s lives, relationships, customs,behavior and the way of thinking, thus deposited as a national cultural---mentalstructure and affect the process of China’s political development. And this chapterwill have a analysis of the positive and negative effect on China’s politicaldevelopment.The Chapter Four will have a brief instruction of development experience of other countries, including Southeast Asian countries, Japan and Korea, which are themembers of the Confucian culture-circle. Thus to explore the most effective way todevelop socialist democratic culture, focusing on the development of a full range ofmulti-channel strategy, seeking how to inherit the Confucian advantages oftraditional political culture to promote the development of Chinese contemporarypolitics.
