A Study Of Lenin 's Thought Of Rural Cultural Construction

During the process of leading the Soviet Russia socialist revolution and construction, Leninhad a profound understanding of the importance to strengthen the cultural construction; whileRussia is a country with a majority of farmers, and they were affected by the historical traditionand level of education, most of the farmers were illiterate, they had low cultural quality and thebackward ideas, which restricted the revolution and socialist construction to a large extent.Therefore, he advocated that the cultural construction in rural areas must be carried out. After thelong-term theoretical research and practical exploration, based on the Marx and Engels’ruralcultural construction theory and combined with the national conditions of Russia, Lenin formedhis rural cultural construction thoughts with Russian characteristics. China and Russia bothbelong to the Oriental socialist countries, and China’s rural social status and the Russiancountryside are quite similar, so studying the Lenin’s rural cultural construction thought andgrasping the essence of the rural cultural construction thought profoundly, have the importantguiding value and reference significance to the construction of new rural areas of socialism andthe socialist harmonious society in China.This paper consists of four parts:The first part is the historical background of the formation of Lenin’s rural culturalconstruction thought. This paper thinks that problems such as rural illiteracy in large quantities,the backward ideas, old culture’s serious erosion to the rural areas, and the farmer’s low identityto socialism, directly contributed to the formation of Lenin rural cultural construction thought.The second part is Lenin’s thought on the importance of the rural cultural construction. Inthe process of leading the Soviet Socialist revolution and construction, Lenin graduallyrecognized the importance of the rural cultural construction, he thought that it was a requisite tothe development of rural economy, the force of the realization of electric, an important guaranteeof farmer cooperative, an inevitable requirement of social atmosphere.The third part is the Lenin’s thought on the basic path of the rural cultural construction，which discusses from four aspects: the first is to launch the literacy activities energetically,develop the rural education extensively. The second is to highlight the ideological and politicaleducation of farmers, improve their ideological and political consciousness. The third is citysupports the rural areas, to form the urban-rural cultural interaction alliance. The fourth is to treatcapitalism correctly, selecting its essence and discarding its dross.The fourth part is the theoretical contributions and realistic enlightenments of Lenin’s rural culture construction thought. Lenin’s rural cultural construction not only enriches and developsthe relevant theory of Marx and Engels, but has the great theoretical significance to the Sovietand the Eastern socialist country’s rural cultural construction then. Besides, it also has importantreality enlightenments to the current new rural construction: we should attach great importanceto cultural construction, it plays an important role in the construction of new countryside; weshould give full play to the leading role of the party and the government in the construction ofrural culture; we should respect the dominant position of the farmers in the rural culturalconstruction; we should form a good interactive mechanism between urban and rural culture; weshould establish all-around system about rural education.
