An Analysis Of Ideological And Political Education From The Perspective Of Marx 's Overall Thought

Totality ideology is the paramount principle of Marx dialectics, only under this principle, can we grasp the social and historical reality, can we illustrate the realistic movement of socialist ideological education. The totality ideology of Marx is embodied in the following aspects:the overall command part, which is the integral concept of each part; the integration of theory with practice, to practice under the guidance of the theory; the integration of target and process. Students are country’s valuable human resources, they are the nation’s hope and future of the country. In order to make undergraduates to be qualified builders and loyal successors of socialism with Chinese characteristics, we should not only improve their scientific and cultural qualities, we need also concentrate more on their ideological and political qualities. Only by doing this work well, can we ensure peace and stability of cause of the party and the people from generation to generation. Our party and government attach significant importance to the ideological and political education of college students because of college students’ overall moral quality and strong relationship with the development of the country, thus it is of great significance to do a good job in the college ideological and political education work. The totality ideology of Marx has great guiding significance to the theory and practice for the ideological and political education at the present stage in our country, to research the ideological and political education of college students under the Marx’s overall horizon and to fully focus on college students’ ideological and moral development are the inevitable demand to further adapt to the situation in the new period. The totality ideology of Marx not only provides theoretical support for scientific ideological and political education discipline, but also provides methodology guidance for ideological and political education practice at the present stage.In the era of economic globalization and high speed development of science and technology, due to the influences by postmodern ideas in ideological and political education, the content of ideological and political education concentrates more on the microscopic analysis and lacks grandiose narration, leading to low education resultant force; the training model of ideological and political education is so mechanized and lacks humanistic concern, leading to the educates alienation; also the evaluation models of ideological and political education is single and lagging, thus lacking scientific evaluation system, all of these things are the main reasons of the weakening effects of our ideological and political education. However, they are closely correlated with the neglect of guidance of Marx’s totality ideology, emphasize on one unit criterion, neglect of the level and difference of educates and even lack of overall thinking mode in our current college ideological and political education. So to strengthen the ideological and political education effectiveness, it is necessary to study the problems and challenges faced by college ideological and political education under the Marx’s overall horizon, to set up the overall thought, and on this basis to enrich and develop our ideological and political education concerning on Marxism with the idea of human overall development and the human essence. In the process of ideological and political education practice, it is obligatory to transform the unreasonable aspects of the traditional education from the aspects of methods, principles, approaches and assessment mechanisms, to enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education.
