A Study On "Anti - Gene Discrimination" From The Perspective Of Marxist Equality

The development of gene technology has provided a broad space for improving the welfare of human beings, and also brought about several unprecedented problems. Such as "Genetic Discrimination", which has brought serious challenges we must to be faced with, meanwhile it makes us review the equality and justice of the whole society. Approaches to anti-genetic discrimination are in urgent needed in China at present.Aim of this thesis is to study the genetic discrimination of China in approach of equality. First, reviews and summarizes the equality of Marxism. On the one hand, equality is theory weapon used by the pioneer of Marxism to criticize capitalism. On the other hand, equality is the permanent goal they are always seeking. In the view of Marxism, inequality of natural and talents should not constitute of the reasons for inequality; Against inequality and discrimination is to safeguard people’s fundamental rights; Achieve the real equality is not only the necessary conditions of human being’s free and overall development, but also the necessary conditions of an ideal society.Second, thesis combs the western mainstream concept of equality and its influence on western laws of anti-genetic discrimination. According to western liberalism, the principle of "take citizens’rights seriously","concern and respect equally","concern for the social vulnerable groups" are embodied in the anti-genetic discrimination laws and acts. These principles provide valuable references for the laws of anti-genetic discrimination of China.Finally, the thesis tries to sum up the experiences of anti-genetic discrimination of the western, analyze the present situation of genetic discrimination in China, as well as the difficulties to anti-genetic discrimination. Offer suitable proposals to anti-genetic discrimination for China in the framework of the equality of the Marxism.
