A Study On The Problem Of People 's Livelihood In Border Ethnic Communities

Now, Our country has entered a critical period of social transition, social transition speed,breadth, depth is hitherto unknown. In this background, the people’s livelihood problem concernsthe people’s survival and development of employment, pension, medical, education, housing hasbecome increasingly prominent. In this paper, from the five dimensions of employment, education,pension, medical, housing starts, in the Yunnan province Wenshan County, at the end of thevillage that border the Hmong community as the breakthrough point, starting from the perspectiveof anthropology, sociology, empirical research through literature, questionnaire survey, caseinterview, to reflect the people’s livelihood in Yunnan the border areas to improve the presentsituation and the existing problems, on this basis, aiming at the problems, to the local realityconditions as the basis, put forward countermeasures and suggestions for possible. Compared withthe prior research, I look to the people’s livelihood of more system, comprehensive, objective fromthe angle of view, covering five aspects to improve the livelihood of the people, a selection fromthe point of view, the current specifically for minorities to improve the livelihood of the people ofYunnan border in a blank state, this paper combines the two aspects, has certain innovationsignificance.We found through research, Yunnan ethnic minority border areas to improve people’slivelihood problems. Serious hidden unemployment, employment is not sufficient; the educationalburden of higher education, lack of power; pension mode single, heavy family burden; medicalinsurance reimbursement ratio is low, a serious illness medical problems; solid waste pollution,poor living environment.Issues intertwined, serious impact on the improvement of the livingstandards of the people. Yunnan border areas based on the improvement of people’s livelihood ofweak, weak, dimension, wide area, the livelihood of the people in different time and spacetogether, bring huge difficulty for us to improve people’s livelihood. At the same time, theimprovement of people’s livelihood is not a single problem will affect the situation as a whole,employment, education, pension, medical, housing, every aspect of the improvement is asystematic project, the improvement of people’s livelihood needs of human, financial and materialresources, the need to reform the system, cultural, economic, political, and social aspects, requiresjoint efforts of the government and the individual. Therefore, the minority border areas to improvethe people’s livelihood must be based on present conditions, must be in the joint efforts of thegovernment and individual, to gradually solve the livelihood problem in development.
