A Study Of Human Modernization In The Process Of Contemporary China 's Modernization

The Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC made it clear that the general task of the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics is to achieve socialist modernization and to rejuvenate Chinese nation, as well as to build a prosperous, democratic, civilized and harmonious modern socialist country at the time of centennial of founding. The socialist modernization contains not only the economic, political, cultural, ecological and other aspects of the modernization, but also the modernization of people which is the main social subjects. The course of the modernization of the West tells us that the process of modernization tends to get into predicament of losing vitality if one-sided pursuit of the modernization of the material and neglect human modernization. It can be said that human is the destination of modernization, and the modernization of human is the purpose and power of social modernization. China has reformed and opened up for nearly 40 years. Economic and social development has made extraordinary achievements. At the same time, the contradiction between the rapid development of the economy and the low level of people’s modernization is becoming more and more severe. The outstanding performance is the human development cannot accord with the request of the economic society development. How to accelerate the process of people’s modernization during the high speed of development of economy and society has become particularly urgent.This dissertation emphasizes the human modernization of our country based on Chinese reality, guided by Marxist world perspective and method theory. The goal is to propose methods and procedures of accelerating the human modernization of our country by means of analyzing the achievements and difficulties in the modernization of China. This thesis mainly consists of four parts:The first part is the introduction, which mainly discusses the background of the thesis, analyzes the present situation of the research, and provides the basis of the research.In the second part, we sort the arising of modernization out from diachronic perspective and highlight the significance of human modernization in the whole process of modernization from synchronic perspective. The modernization of people is an important prerequisite for social modernization, is the ultimate goal of social modernization, is the fundamental driving force of social modernization. Human modernization is of extreme importance for the modernization of society, because it promotes social modernization of the major theoretical and practical issues.The experiences and achievements to promote the modernization process of people are demonstrated in the third part from the reality of the modernization of our country. We analyze the dilemma during the human modernization focusing on population quality, human concept and education training, providing the premise for the approach of solve the problem.The fourth part puts forward tangible approaches to promote contemporary Chinese modernization, based on the forward analytical. First, perfect the socialist market economy, tamping the material foundation for the modernization of people. Second, develop modern education, providing important conditions for accelerating human modernization. Third, promote the construction of socialist democracy and the rule of law, providing a strong political guarantee for the promotion of the modernization. Fourth, strengthen the construction of advanced socialist culture, laying a rich cultural foundation to promote human modernization.
