Nowadays, with the growing of the size and complexity in the chip design, function verification is increasingly important and becoma key factor to ensure the success of the IC design. Verification of the register plays an important rolet the beginning of function verification, but is very tedious and error-prone.The main content of this dissertation are development of an automatic and reusable method of register verification and the process of Register verification method using in project in project. This method is based on VMM (Verification Methodology Manual) RAL(Register Abstraction Layer), which is a register / memory abstraction layer authentication technologies and solutions. At first, this dissertation studies the VMM verification methodology and RAL. Then on the basis of this study, this thesis the development process of this verification method, which include the development of RAL model generator and implementation of authentication methods. Finally, this paper accomplishes register verification using this method, including integration of RAL environment, verify the initial value, reset function, read and write properties, coupling relationship. This dissertation gives out the simulation waveform, results and coverage rate. The data shows that simulation results are all passed and coverage rate is 100%.
