Investigation Of Information Hiding To LSB

With the development of the Internet, digital multimedia is applied widely. At the same time, multimedia information security problems including copyrights protection and information encryption emerged had become more and more important. So how to get advantage of Internet and meanwhile protect the knowledge of properties of right effectively is extremely important. As the primary means of intellectual property protection, information hiding is widely studied and used.In this paper, we talk about the background of writing this thesis, introduce the conception, characteristics and category of information hiding and its application. This paper presents the principle and the method of information hiding based on LSB, the information extraction and the technical features.In this paper, an improved LSB algorithm is proposed, which improves upon traditional LSB algorithm in two ways:the objective evaluation and subjective evaluation. From the host's perspective, according to formulae of luminance, and the sensitivity of human eyes to different colors, we can substitute the information that would be hidden for the lower bits of the RGB brightness of the pixel; objectively, we can minimize the difference of the adjacent pixels rather than change the lower k bits directly by changing the k+1 bits of the picture according the difference of the adjacent pixels.
